Ever walk through a store in October and hear holiday music and think, WAIT—Y’ALL, HALLOWEEN HASN’T EVEN HAPPENED YET? My stepmom rolls out the holiday decorations in September and loves celebrating forever. I’m firmly in the “Halloween shall happen before Thanksgiving, which shall happen before the next holiday.” But even though I have my own opinion, it seems like Black Friday and Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday deals all start happening earlier and earlier (November 1st, anyone?).

I’m of a mixed bag when it comes to over-consuming on the holidays. Staying mindful amidst the madness can be hard. We even have a blog post all about how to say no to gifts over the holidays.

That said, these holiday deals can be really huge for families on tight budgets that want to get big deals on items they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get. From new hardware to electronics to strollers to Instapots, snagging the things you want at really low prices can be a boon for your budget, if you plan ahead. And, if you’re a business owner, this can be a great season for new clients and sales, too.

Here’s a list of some ways to save on some cool gifts for kids, new parents or yourself. Spend wisely, friends, and enjoy the holidays.

A Roomba or RoboVac. A rechargable, automatic vacuum cleaner has been a boon to parents everywhere, and my friends swear by a Roomba. They can be pricey—as much as $500—so if you’re looking to save big, watch for deals for these to be as low as $199. Here’s Amazon’s version of a Bagotte ($169), or you can go for the Eufy RoboVac ($199), or the Roomba, currently $299. If you want a regular vacuum cleaner, the current Shark standing vacuum cleaner is also a deal for the holiday sales.
